Hi,
i wanna add city name under the picture in the post page.
Now i found that this should be generated from within the template in file template/blue_eagle/html/topic/default_profile_vertical.php

But is there anyway i can overwrite that one file and add this without it gets deleted on next update ?
Or do i have to make a complete copy of blue_eagle template and make the changes in that to make that template active ?

best way is to create a template override, then it will not be overwritten on a update.

As far as i know, when you use own templates like the one kunena uses, default overwrite methods doesn't work.

Speciel overwrite methoed has to be used..

And when i go in and click create for kunena/topic it doesn't create any for the files topic/default_profile_vertical.php

So thanx for a link to default Joomla behavior instead of giving a usefull answer that would help solve this challenge that i can only guess alot of other ppl are having too.

copy components\com_kunena\template\blue_eagle\html\topic\default_profile_vertical.php

to:

templates\yourtemplate\html\com_kunena\topic\default_profile_vertical.php

Then there you can add your own html
