I installed today again on a migration an 6.3.1 full Package.
I had the same issue before and it tooks me while to find the root cause.
After Installation the folder /[YOURINSTALLFOLDER]/media/kunena/emoticons
has files named 1.png to 23.png
The correct Names need to be as in the attached ZIPFILE
It would be good if the Admins cahn update the Package because this causes that when you start a new Them you get an rendering error and no box comes Up.

If it is a migration and your emoticons already existed before, they will be retained. If this is not the case, they must be manually transferred from a backup of the old website to the new website.I installed today again on a migration an 6.3.1 full Package.

My Migration was a new install and moving teh old things in.
The issue is reported under a different topic but I thought it would be helpful for others to have all png that are needed in one file (see attachment.
