I have installed the latest version of the forum and displays as I want it but when a user opens a category it displays with side modules which are not required.

How do I stop the side modules from displaying?

That actually has nothing to do with kunena itself.
You will with every module that appears in kunena
by the Menu Assignment tab  uncheck the kunena pages and save the module

Thanks but that is not the issue as the only item checked for the modules is the Home Page.

When the topics open they appear within the home page not on a new page.

I can not work out what is going wrong.

Thanks again, I will try and find another forum extension.

maybe I don't understand correctly.
but you mean that other joomla modules appear next to kunena forum ?
Can you post a link to your website or a picture of your problem?
And is the Cassiopeia Site template used or another one, then give the name of that template

I have replied to this several times but keeps on disappearing, mmmm
OK, here I go

The issue is that the forum "Create Account" page from the Login Drop Down opens up on the home page with the side modules displaying.
I don't have them set in Menu Assignments.
I am going around in circles trying to solve this issue.

If you click on create account from within a topic/category it displays correctly.

I am using Joomla 51 - Nina Template, Joomla 4

Well, glad it's resolved
Can you also post what the real problem was so that someone else here may also find the solution.
I did see in configuration report that there might be some wrong menu items in kunena menu

It would be an explanation if there were misconfigured menu items. Unfortunately, the user did not disclose the solution.
