Solved Forum Offline after update

Just looking for some clarification. We have notice that the forum will go offline by itself and this appears to be tied to an update. We will go to the backend it will run an update and then we are back online. What is this process, does it automatically put the forum offline when there is an update, does it happen because we update remotely and are not actually in the backend, is it a setting or something else?

Just looking for some understanding on it. Thanks for your time.

That's not a setting. The forum goes automatically offline during the installation to avoid mistakes. And probably visitors would see anyway only a broken page.
When the upgrade is done, the page will published again.

Thanks Rich. We will have to put that in our update process then to ensure we double check after updates, especially if we are doing them remotely.
