Kunena 6.2.5 & module Kunena Latest 6.0.7 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.5 [K 6.2.5] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.3.x/4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

A few of my members are getting the error
Copy Fail ,,,,,failed to move avatars file to media directory

When they try to attach and insert jpeg and gif images.

These are experienced posters who daily post images.

One member solved his problem by renaming his image file, not the extension.
Another member seems to be uploading files as image.jpeg and image.gif but is on an iPad and doesn't know how to rename them.
Hundreds of images are being attached/inserted every day so this is only a very intermittent problem for a small number of posters.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Can-you check if the users try to upload an avatar which has the same name that the avatars already available under /media/kunena/avatars ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Thank you xillibit, no they are not the same as in that folder.

They are actually attaching images to a forum post so the error message is a little misleading.

I think I am closer to what the error may be.

None member is uploading photos taken on her iPad and they all appear to upload with the filename 'image'

The last one uploaded has gone into the /media/kunena/attachments/14600 folder as below:

Any ideas for a solution?

The user concerned does not know how to rename image files on her iPad!

I've tried with this long file name. No problem. Maybe these users want to upload very large images? Your php Max file upload: 8M setting is the minimum requirement for Kunena. Try it with a higher value. Maybe it helps.

Thank you rich but the users have emailed me their images and I can upload them as a registered user with no errors.

maybe its a bug on safari browser on iPad.

but if you can upload the same image on your iPad, then its a local issue.
