Kunena 5.2.8 released and Blue eagle 1.6.7 released (02 Jan 2022)

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 5.2.8 [K 5.2.8] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 3.10/3.9.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 5.2 and issues discovered during the development stages of previous version of K5.2.

If you are using blue template you need to update to 1.6.7 version to ensure to have a compatible version with K5.2.8.

Important note: (07 Jan 2022) If you have created a Kunena custom.css, create a backup of it. Due to an error, this file will be deleted during an upgrade.

Solved Migration Kunena 1.5.11 to Kunena 4

6 years 4 months ago #1 by dhomburg
Dear community,

I'm in the migration of a Kunena 1.5.11 installation (from Joomla 1.5) to Kunena 4 (Joomla 3.4). There seem to be a fireboard on the old website, as the tables carry "jos_fb_..." in their names instead of "jos_kunena_..."

A direct data migration (just importing the old tables into the new system and changing the prefix) failed, as the database structure seems to be differen in many cases.

I started to rearrange database structure by hand (user migration worked well that way), but I'm facing difficulties: The table "#__kunena_topics" does not exits in the old version, but is needed in the Kunena 4 version.

Any suggestion how to proceed?

Kind regards from Germany,

there you have the database updates.

So you need to run all queries in it in your database.
