We run Joomla 3.4 with Kunena 4.0.5 with CB 2.0.10.

On our "old" Joomla 2.5 site with Kunena 3.0.8 & CB 1.9.1 it used to work like this:

In Display mode, the profile would have a "Forum" tab showing the Latest posts
In Edit Mode, the the profile showed the Forum Signature, so that you could change it.

In our new Kunena 4.0.5 (on Joomla 3) The Forum tab is simply missing, when in Edit mode, and so, it is not possible for our users to change their forum singature.

Is there a setting in the new Kunena that I am not aware of?

Hello,

In your profile you should see the same tabs than Kunena 3.0.8, can-you look into development console of your browser if you can see javascript errors ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I am not familiar with the development console of the browser.
However, the problem is general. All users have the problem.

I forgot to mention a diffence in the backend for the CB field Management. On the "old" site 3 fields appear with Tab "Forum"

For some reason there are NO fields in the new site for CB field Management, related to tab "Forum".

This could explain why the "Forum" tab is not shown in Edit Mode; there are no fields to display in that Tab.

So, the question is: Why are they not in the new site?
Even more important; how to get them there?
It is not possible to add a new Field with the type "Forumsettings" which makes me believe that they probably appeared during installation of Kunena.
...or, they should have been.

Is there a point during the Kunena installation process, where these 3 CB fields are inserted?
Can it be replicated manually?

(Am I on the right track?)

I was told by the people we paid for to upgrade our site from Joomla 2.5 to 3.0, that the above is not possible at all!
Apparently CB does not provide an option to maintain Kunena signature and other fields in the profile maintenance.

I find that hard to believe, so I would like to hear if Kunena people share that opinion?

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but I am having the same problem. I can't figure out how to get it so that users can edit their forum signatures - ANYWHERE. Specifically, I want the ability to edit the forum signature in the CB profile, like we could in earlier versions of CB and Kunena. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's my current configuration:

Create a new Field on CB "signatures". Then connect it to kunena by going to
cb - plugin - cb forums - forum - select Kunena 3.x - Signature = cb_signatures

Then save it.

Thanks for the reply. I tried what you suggested, and unfortunately had a few problems. One is that the Forums tab still doesn't show up when a user edits their profile. Another is that it didn't give me the option of putting my new field in the Forums tab, anyway. "Forums" does not show up on the available list of tabs to put a field in when configuring the field.

So I ended up putting the new field under "Contact Info", which is really the wrong place.

The biggest problem is that I have this nice empty field, but it doesn't connect to the existing user signatures. My users are allowed very long signatures (4000 characters, due to the nature of our website) and I need them to be able to edit their existing signatures when we go back online.

Where did the field go for "signature" from the old versions of Kunena and CB?

Thanks.
