If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Bounce address/notification address

Kunena is working great, but I think I've set something up that I'd like to change, but I can't find the setting.

I've set it up so that I am to get an email whenever someone posts a new post. The forum isn't that busy, so this doens't generate a lot of emails. I have myself set as the global moderator, so I think I've set it up that moderators get an email when there's a new post, that's probably more the setup. And I'm the only moderator.

However, whenever there is a new post, I don't get an email at my regular address, but rather at an address I've set up to catch bounces ([email protected]). But I'm not sure the emails are actually bouncing. When I look at the mail logs at my host, it simply shows an email from [email protected] to [email protected] being successfully delivered. It makes me think I've set up that bounce@mydomain address as where I want kunena to send me notifications. But I can't find a mention of that address anywhere in my config.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

In the Joomla user administration or in the Kunena user profile you can see the e-mail address to which the notification is sent. The subscription mails are also sent to this address.
But it may be that when you are logged in, no mail is sent. Test it by logging out and then write a post with a second user account.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

The thing is, I have the same email address set up both in Kunena and Joomla admin. But notifications are going to my bounce@ address instead. That said, I've found that regular bounced mail is going there as well, so I must have pointed to the bounce address somewhere in joomla. Not just a Kunena thing. Thanks for looking.
