Kunena 6.3.6 Released - Security release

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.6 [K 6.3.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Removing crud from kunena database

I have a very old joomla/kunena system. So, I am wondering what is the best way to remove old users from the kunena tables? If I delete a user in the backend, will the user information also be removed from other kunena tables such as kunena_sessions, user_reads, etc?Does anyone have any sql scripts that facilitate this type of cleanup?
Thanks in advance

When you delete a user from Kunena and/or Joomla, the posts will remain and that person's replies will still be visible in the topic. However, the user information will be removed and 'Visitor' will be displayed instead of the username.

You can also remove all posts from these users. You must do this before the users are deleted:
Go to Kunena -> Users in the backend and select all users concerned.
Use the action button to move all posts to Trash, from which you can then permanently remove them all.
Finally, delete these users.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!
