Kunena 6.3.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.8 [K 6.3.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Template documentation severely lacking

Any plans to add documentation to the section that reads:  "Find out how templates work and how to easily edit or create your own."

www.kunena.org/docs/en/themes

It's been several years now and when I keep coming back to this section I'm met with the same blank page. :(

Many Kunena theme developers have gone away so options are limited nowadays.

Hi, as I am just busy with beautifying the forum on my webpage, let me add my two pence.

My setup briefly:
  • Joomla 5
  • 2 Cassiopeia child themes (only changed user.css)
    • 1 standard theme
    • 1 theme for the internal part.
  • Kunena 6 with Aurelia standard template
  • The website has a public part and an internal (members only) part, the KUNENA forum is part of the internal website. That's why I cannot share  a link here.
Q: Now how do I get the forum to use the "non-standard cassiopeia" child template settings?
A: Just copy&paste the content of the (internal child) cassiopeia templates user.css into the custom.css of the Aurelia template

I just want to share this learning. I did not do  true testing yet, but looking over the pages, I could not find any unwanted behaviour yet.

Whoever will add something to the a.m. template documentation, I think, this could be a useful part of it. Due to limited ressources I cannot offer any support for this, sorry.

Have fun
Klaus

This has nothing to do with Kunena, but with Joomla. Just assign your internal template to the appropiate menu-items.
