Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Hello, I've just installed Kunena 6.3.2 with Joomla 5.1.1. However, I can see the Joomla users in Kunena, but I cannot login via Kunena login. Could anyone kindly help me with this? It will be highly appreciated.

Have you used the synchronise user function in the Kunena dashboard under Tools in the backend?

Hi, I tried but it didn't work. Apparently, the native login module gets in the way. I just called the hosting provider, who told me that the native login was staying active in the backend, although I disabled it. Now I can get back to manage the users again.

Are there any other login and registration plugins that can certainly work with integrated Joomla and Kunena?

Now I simply added a new user (form the admin account) and I managed to login via Kunena login. It appears as the native login really makes some issues.

Is there any registration plugin that you recommend that may work with Kunena?

Thank you very much for your help.

There are still issues. I tried to add a new topic from the new user account, and I got this:403 Forbidden : You do not have permissions to start a new topic! Or you haven't created/published a top level category !You may not be able to visit this page because of:
  1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
  2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
  3. a mistyped address
  4. you have no access to this page
  5. The requested resource was not found.
  6. An error has occurred while processing your request.
If difficulties persist, please contact the website administrator and report the error below.  In addition, the Kunena menu is not showing up. I have to click on Preferences for the Kunena menu to show up. However, when I tried to save it, it did not work.

The main category has been created.

Again, your help will be highly appreciated. Could we make this work? Thank you.

First of all it is possible to have the native login module and Kunena both active. Did you change anything in your kunena plugin settings?
Is the plugin "Kunena - Joomla Integration" published?
As for categories, have you read the documentation ?
Do you have a link to your site?
