tables still in database after uninstalling component was created by aimlesslady
I have uninstalled the component but I see the database still have tables with the kunena prefix. What is the appropriate way to clean up the database.
The component was installed when using Joomla 3, but we are now using Joomla 4 and do not need the component.
I also see the kunenan Framework in the 'Discover' interface. How do I remove that?

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

Install Kunena again, then go to Kunena -> Tools and uninstall Kunena there. This will remove Kunena and its database.
However, you should have done this before upgrading to Joomla 4, because if Kunena was not minimum K5.1 beforehand, the installation (migration) to Joomla 4 will not work and cannot be removed in this way.

Chances are the Kunena version I used was before 5.x.
The component was uninstalled while still in Joomla 3. It was probably uninstalled via the System>Manage Extensions, not Kunena Tools.
I am currently using Joomla 4.
What are my options now? Do I install version 6.x? Then uninstall it?

If it can be installed, it is the best way to remove Kunena completely.Do I install version 6.x? Then uninstall it?

Just manually delete all kunena tables from your database if you are not planning to use it in your Joomla 4 site.

In principle you are right, but the user aimlesslady wants everything from Kunena to be removed completely.Just manually delete all kunena tables from your database if you are not planning to use it in your Joomla 4 site.
