Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question User profile editing

Hi.

I'm having problems with editing the user profile on my site. I'm using the latest version of Kunena, Aurelia-template, Kunenas bootstrap disabled.

I have two questions:

1) I can't figure out how to display a link to the editing page. No link on the forum start page, as the screenshot shows - only the forum categories.

2) Once I've written something in a forum, I can click my username and get to the editing page (of course, I'd like to have a direct link). Here's the next problem: The links #editprofile, #editavatar and #editsettings (see other snapshot) simply don't work. When I click them I simply stay on the #editUser-page.

Any help with these, probably rather simple, problems would be much appreciated!

The problem arises because Purity uses a different bootstrap, css than Joomla. You can try a trick:
  • In the backend, go to System -> Site Templates -> Purity_III Details and Files.
  • Click on top Copy Template and enter a new name.
  • If you now go to /templates, you will see the new template (see image).
.

.
  • Now go to /media/vendor/bootstrap/css/ and copy the bootstrap.css.
  • Replace the bootstrap.css in /templates/editedpurity/css/ with your copied bootstrap.css
  • In the backend, select the new template as default.
Except for small css adjustments, everything should work, but I don't know how it will affect the rest of your homepage.
