The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.5 [K 6.2.5] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.3.x/4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question How to make Mark All Read link available when not using drop-down menu

I would like to make the Mark All Read option available to our users. Preferably I would like to add this option to the menu as a custom entry. I'm looking for some advice on how to go about this.

Per category there is an option to mark all topics/posts as read in that category and all sub-categories. From the link that is provided by the button, I know how to construct the URL to mark all posts in all categories as read. I also know that this option is provided in the (user?) drop-down menu if enabled. However, due to issues with the menu being displayed correctly in the template we are using, we decided to not use the built-in Kunena menu. Instead we publish the menu in the header position for people to navigate our forum.

Unfortunately, there is no menu item for Mark All Read provided and I have been unable to figure out a way of constructing a custom menu entry that would add the same functionality. Is there such a way? If not, is it possible to have that menu item added in a future release? I think it should be a simple task. We would be willing to sponsor that feature if our budget allows for it.

Constructing my own custom menu entry probably fails because I need the session token to construct the URL. Is there a way in Joomla/Kunena to retrieve that token?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
