Kunena 6.3.0 released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

I've had this problem for a while, that pages with many attachments are very slow to load.
I contacted my server provider which did extensive testing and concluded with the following email to me. (see quote below)
They tested this page, (and several others): tamiyabase.com/forum/31-modern-tamiya-or...4132-ta-05-vdf-build
All pages with more than average qty attachments, seem very slow, and sometimes fail to load.
My service provider asks two questions in the below text:
A) why it is connecting to itself, and
Why it has the domain as part of the requests for images.
Please feel free to elaborate in general on their findings.
I hope you can help determining why this very slow page loads occurs.

While there were millions of sessions I found this was not in fact the problem. All of the outbound connections your site is making to itself appear to be 404 errors, which means all of those 30 connections also have to hit PHP and be served by joomla.
I temporarily modified the servers hosts file to bypass cloudflare so I could tell when the server was connecting to itself instead of connections coming from the outside. Here is the list of requests your site makes to itself when I hit tamiyabase.com/forum/31-modern-tamiya-or...4132-ta-05-vdf-build just once:

If you look at those, the requests are for /https://, so the requests are effectively for:
tamiyabase.com/https://tamiyabase.com/me.../20170529_163045.jpg
It makes sense that they give 404 errors as a result. There is something misconfigured in your sites code to be requesting the site in that nested way, besides that it is connecting to itself repeatedly in this way to begin with.
I recommend having a developer investigate the site further to determine A) why it is connecting to itself, and
