Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question While everything is set against it, a Guest is now posting.

Our forum is set so that Guests can only read, never write. Yet in the past few days, following updates to latest J 3.8.7 and K 5.1.0 this is happening. While the posts, which are spam, are held for moderation, this Guest, shown as ANONYMOUS [in caps] but that's all we can see. The spam "apparel" type posts seem auto-generated. I've rechecked the forum settings and they are as I expected. If I come into the forum myself as a guest and try to post I just get a message to say to do that I need to be registered. Registrations on our forum are by specific invitation and are manually processed af the back end by myself.

Can anyone suggest what is going on, or how I can stop it? Is it a possible server thing?

Oh for a neat solution...

Hello,

We have made a fix for that in Kunena 5.1.1, so you can wait hte release or apply directly the fix by making a backup before :

github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/commit/7d...3261a8c013a123da6f12

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Thanks for that..

While I'm still using the current 5.1 the occurrences ceased after a few days.

I will await 5.1.1 as you suggest.
