If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Hello guys,

is kunena ready for gdpr / dsgvo?

All the buttons in the toolbar are ok and do not load any data from 3rd party servers? Abo function have double opt-in functionality? Embed vidieo, ebay, ... does not collect or send any user data anywhere?

Thanks for your response...

We have 4 data loads from 3rd party servers:

1) Social Share: Can be disabled/enable on template settings. And now i have added a extra option to users forum settings.
2) Fontawesome: If you enable the option to load external fontawesome js/css.
3) Stop Forum Spam feature: Sending data (ip). If enabled by the administrator on kunena config.
4) Recaptcha (Joomla plugin)

Abo function have double opt-in functionality?
Yes, you can set it. Default its opt-out. But the admin can set it to opt-in if wanted. on the kunena config.
Users can change the setting on users forum settings.

Embed video?
The embed video's are loading the default embed links from the source provider. There is no extra collections added.

ebay, instagram?
Also the other embed are loading the default embed links.
On ebay you could add a ref code, its empty on default.

Hello,

Joomla! 3.9 will include the privacy tool suite for GDPR : developer.joomla.org/news/725-goals-for-joomla-3-9.html , that change the Joomla plan because now the Joomla! 3.10 will include backport for Joomla! 4.0 compatibility instead of J! 3.9

It is nice to hear, that joomla itself want to accept the gdpr rules. But it comes a little late.

No idea, when joomla 3.9 with new com_privacy will come and no idea when extensions developers will work with it.

So i think, right now, it is better a idea to use 3rd party extension for that.

For now you can use the ja GDPR extension which is still in developpement : www.joomlart.com/joomla/extensions/ja-joomla-gdpr-extension with the cookies manager : opt-out.ferank.eu/en/
