If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Disabling JomSocial in favor of Kunena

My site had become very complicated with members communicating and posting videos via both JomSocial and Kunena. I am considering rebuilding the site with just Kunena. I have copies of my site running on localhost and I'm experimenting with different configurations.
Is it possible to turn off or uninstall JomSocial so that the site is only integrated with Kunena?
If it is, how would I do this? Thanks in advance guys for any assistance you can give on this subject :)

JomSocial is a own extension and run with and without Kunena. The same is with Kunena. JomSocial is not needed and you can uninstall it. But for your tests I recommend, disable the plugin Kunena JomSocial integration (Backend -> Kunena -> Plugins). You can also disable JomSocial in "Extensions -> Manage -> Manage". Enter as search keyword "JomSocial and disable the hits. So you can test it with and without JomSocial.
