Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Hi!

Is it possible to configure KUNENA this way that users can answer directly on eMail notifications, without having to go the forum board first on WEB?

Some users of my forum asking for that, but so far I haven´t found a way to configure it this way.

I think this makes sense, I also know that kind of functionality from other discussion boards.

Cheers.

Hi!
Anyone an idea?

I am just helping a Yahoo Group to move over to a Kunena forum. They are used to answer on new postings directly via eMail, without necessarily logging in into the forum first.

Is that possible?

Can a user reply on a "New Answer" eMail-notification directly? Any chance to realize that?

Thanks

As far as I know, this is not possible out-of-the box. Maybe there is some kind of plugin for that (you could search the JED for that).

I would also like to state that this would be a 'kick-ass' feature to have in Kunena!
It would lower the interaction threshold dramatically.

The current process of: getting notified, going to a web page, logging in and posting your reply is just to much for a lot of users. We are 'competing' here with Facebook / Linkedin and the likes that have an all in one (hand) solution.

Email responding could just make the difference in staying relevant as a solution :)

I hope this didn't sound to dramatically :)

I’ve looked and not seen anything like this. It would be a huge attractive feature though!

Thanks a lot for your answers. Really sad that this is not possible. Would be a great feature!
