Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question unapproved posts view links to unread posts

Aloha all,

I recently upgraded our kunena installation and am now using the Crypsis template for the first time.
Our moderators check the listing for unapproved posts regularly:
Code:
../index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topics&layout=posts&mode=unapproved

However, the links in that listing do not link to the actual unapproved post. Instead they link to my unread posts in the corresponding thread (/unread). In this scenario I often have to go to a different page and hunt the actual post.
Is this intentional behavior? Is there a setting to change it to show the actual post that needs to be approved?

I have tried searching for this topic in the forum and didn't find anything. I apologize if this was discussed already.

Thanks for your help,
Karina

Thanks for your quick reply. This works if there are no unread posts in the corresponding thread.

However, as soon as I have unread posts, the entire thread link points to /unread instead of the unapproved post.

I didn't notice that difference before. Thanks for pointing that out. For now I can go to the thread so it's marked unread, refresh the page and click the new link.

Thank you for this hint. It's in principle not correct, but when we remove the "New" indicator on this menu item, there is another problem. If you approve a post, you go automatically in this topic. And if you go in a topic, it will registered as read (Kunena cannot distinguished, whether you only refreshes or read a topic). So you might not go to your first unread messages anymore.

I get what you mean. For me as an admin I'd prefer to have the link go to the unapproved post AND have the new indicator go to the unread post. This way, if I do want to see the unread posts view, I can open the NEW (unread) link in a new tab and the unapproved one in another tab.

I'll understand if you guys don't want to change anything about it, though.
