Kunena 6.3.6 Released - Security release

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.6 [K 6.3.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

We recently installed Kunena 5.0.11. We want to have guests be able to see all the categories available in the forum, but not be able to
click on a category and see and read all the posts. How can we set it up so this can happen?

Please help.

You can use the setting "Hide Replies For Guests" (Configuration -> tab Security), but guests can see the first message of a topic with this option. That all posts are hidden is not possible.

I see you use Blue Eagle. Blue Eagle was never planned for Kunena 5.x but many users wanted back the old style of this template. It is a additional work and therefore are not all features included yet. This feature will be included in Blue Eagle for Kunena 5.1

Well, I installed a new template from 9themestore.com which is recommended on the templates page. They say it is compatable with the 5.0.11 version and the feature still does not work? I really wish this worked because this will be a forum for some classes and the students will not want unregistered users to able to browse around and see their questions. Can this be custom programmed in for now?

This has nothing to do with compatible. You need the codes for this feature on the template.
I don't know your template but it needs this code in "components\com_kunena\template\your template\layouts\message\item\default.php".

If you ask your template author, he can tell you, which line exactly you must replace. Probably there is a little difference to his and our templates. If you ask in his support page, then set a link to this topic.
