Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

Topics must relate to a currently supported version of Kunena. If you are unsure what is the current supported version of Kunena, please go to the download page.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Edited Posts Marked As New

Hello,

Is it possible for edited posts to be marked as "New" or distinguished in some way on the front end?

Problem:
User posts a message, then sometime later goes and edits it, and add content outside our terms.

Currently, I have it set so only certain Access Levels can post or reply. The general public cannot post or reply. There are few new posts to our forum, maybe 5 or so a week currently. So moderators will occasionally check those few to see that no self-promotion or selling occurs.

The mod will log on, every few days, and see that all new posts since their last visit, see the category folder turns green with a new icon, and then see the new posts, which are also green. They will go in, read the posts, and then act accordingly.

Normally speaking, most user never edit their posts. They generally just reply.

Occasionally, though rarely, a sneaky person will post something, wait a few days, then edit it with sales or self-promotion.

If the moderator has already seen the post, they currently have no way of knowing if there was an edit, besides, repeatedly checking the posts.

I know I can turn off editing, but rarely do anyone edit, but it's nice to have for misspellings and such... so I would rather not turn it off completely, due to a few bad apples.

So short question: How can I show an edit on the front end like I can with new posts?
or
Is there a way to notify the moderator of the edit, or mark the post as "new" again, so the moderator can know an edit was made?

Thanks,
Melvins138
