Solved template installation not working

The procedure for installing a template appears to be either broken or insufficiently documented. Steps to repeat the problem:
  1. Copy entire Blue Eagle folder to local desktop
  2. Edit template.xml accordingly
  3. Zip folder
  4. Install zipfile with Kunena template manager
  5. Activate new template
None (not a single line) of the new template CSS is applied. The Kunena forum is displayed esentially as unstyled HTML (any styling comes from the site CSS). Something is preventing the both Kunena CSS from the newly installed template as well as the default Kunena CSS from loading.

My existing Kunena template, written for v1.6, still partly works, but various things are broken, so I have switched, just temporarily I hope, back to Blue Eagle v2.

This page in the Wiki hasn't been updated in two years: docs.kunena.org/index.php/How_to_create_a_template_for_Kunena

Thanks.

You're probably missing a valid XML file that identifies the template, as well as an initialisation file. Explained - but not very well - in the Wiki. See How to create a template for Kunena . Did you read that?

Hello,

template installation is working well.

It is not important how you call template in template.xml file.

You are missing one step the most important when you create you own template.

You need to change template Class name in template.php file and it MUST be identical as you template folder.
If not, your template will not load any of your template css files.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! Changing the three instances of "blue_eagle" to the name of my template's folder fixed it.

I went ahead and updated the Wiki page accordingly so now Sozzled can't whine that no one helps him with the docs :P

docs.kunena.org/index.php?title=How_to_c...diff=7070&oldid=4669

I'll update the rest of the material on that page this evening.

One more quick question:

When I switch my template on (essentially still Blue Eagle; I need to adapt it), I see this string under the messages:
Code:
COM_KUNENA_THANKYOU
instead of:
Code:

. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Well
from Wiki:

One final change (important!). Go the file template.css. Change every instance of the string "blue_eagle" (there should be three) to the exact name of your template's folder.

this is not what I suggested

The name of file is : template.php

Change every instance

NO,
change ONLY class name

Try to change this back and maybe this error will disappear.
