Question Kunena issue: causes Joomla smart search to crash (not just on my site)

I've found an issue caused by the Kunena forum script. The issue does both occour in Kunena 2.01 and the new 2.02, and not just on my site - I've checked several other random sites through google as well.

When Joomla 2.5 Smart Search is activated and Kunena installed, searching for an exact sentence (eg. searching in quotes) will cause the browser/site to crash. But ONLY if there are search results to show, and ONLY if 'Highlight search terms' is set to Yes in the Joomla administrator panel (as it is by default). Only in that specific occation the problem occour.

Try for example to search for "much improved" on this site (not my site):
revistafisicoyfitness.com/index.php/bonu...arch-result?start=40
Browser crashes. Same happens on my site.

Is there an easy way to fix this problem, or will it first be in the new version of Kunena (or maybe even later)?

That search worked perfectly for me on that site.

Yes, the URL posted by Grubbe worked perfectly for me, too, in Firefox 15.0.

Strange... Did you search for the term "much improved" in quotationmarks?
I've checked in three different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) on my mac, all with the same result. I'll try check on my PC tomorrow, to see if I can duplicate the issue...

When I search in FIrefox, this warning pops up (after 10 seconds):
A script is busy or not responding
Script: revistafisicoyfitness.com/t3-assets/js_4e4f5.js:73

At my own site the following warning is shown:
A script is busy or not responding
Script: musictheory.dk/media/system/js/mootools-core.js:256

I just clicked the URL that you posted on this forum. I didn't do anything else. What I clicked worked for me.

Hi

I've just checked in three browsers on my PC as well, and the same issue happens for me. This time I get the following warning:
Script: musictheory.dk/media/system/js/highlighter.js:7

Try go to www.musictheory.dk and search for "link test" in the top search field - IN QUOTATIONMARKS (Important) - and see what happens?

Try on another site found via Google:
revistafisicoyfitness.com/index.php/bonu...arch-result?start=40
and search for "much improved" in the search filed (mid page). Browser crashes?

If I uninstall Kunena on my site, the search works perfectly. If I set 'Highlight serch terms' to No in the administrator panel, all works perfectly as well. Any of these is not a option for me though.

The issue only happens in Joomla 2.5 Smart Search, when searching for an exact sentence, eg. in quotation marks, and only if there are results to show.
