Question How do I delete a post?

I have marked a post for deletion (I'm administrator), and now it's greyed out.
In 'the old days' on 1.7.2, I could then delete the post for real, but I don't see that button now?
What then?

Best regards

In the old, "old" days (in K 1.5) when you deleted a message, the message was completely removed from the database There was no last-minute, "oops, I made a mistake, can I get it back again?" opportunity.

K 1.6 (and K 1.7) changed that behaviour. When you pressed the delete button, the message was tagged as "deleted" but you could show these deleted messages for administrators or moderators (there is a configuration setting that controls this). You then had the opportunity to leave the message like it was, restore it or permanently delete it (i.e. completely remove it from the database).

K 2.0 is a little different but the principle is still the same. Delete ->> (greyed-out) ->> Permanently Delete or Restore.

In your case, (and particularly because you have posted your message in the K 2.0 Support category - please see the posting guide printed at the top of this page) - I would not like to guess the answer until after we've seen your configuration report.

But, as I recall from the several other messages you have posted on the forum in the last couple of weeks, you were not using an approved template that is necessarily compatible with K 2.0 and so we really can only offer you support when you have verified the situation using the Blue Eagle template.

Furthermore, I think you also need to let us know the status of several other topics you have posted recently. For example, have you completely fixed the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error that you were getting? What about the attachment upload problems and, now, the peculiar symptoms you are having with Community Builder, too? And the emoticons that weren't showing in the backend? And integrating with uddeIM?

Maybe the delete button is there but Kunena is "too wide" wide for your site?

I mean, we don't know whether this latest problem is another symptom of an unresolved issue that you have previous reported. I suggest we resolve your earlier issues before we try to tackle this latest one. Thank you.

Hi Sozzled

Well, to take it from the top.
* CB is solved (as I wrote), but the integration by JoomlaPolis is messy, I've marked the thread as solved for your convinience.
* Error 500, sorry didn't follow up on that, I abandoned the project of creating a template, as I didn't find any proper docs or guides for that, and I couldn't get past the error, so it's running Blue eagle now.
* The attach image problem was already marked as solved, and you replied to it, it was because of admin tools conflicting there.
* Integration with UDDEIM was, pr. YOUR request after the beta period problems, retested, and proved successfully.
* The emoticons problem was solved, and the thread was marked as solved.

I gather from your tone, that your running a bit tired.
Well, I'm sorry that I'm running into issues with your product.
I know I didn't follow the postguide this time, but this product is very important for our small diving club, and I'm spending way too much time solving problems with the new and improved kunena, so it slipped this time, quite a few issues encountered that others have reported and we also ran into.
As per your kind suggestion, I've also tested the delete issue with a full width view of kunena (more that the minimum of 700px).

I still do not see a delete button.
