Merged Search plugin not working

I have installed the search plugin into my K 2.0.2 Forum. ( www.regularrocker.nl/index.php/forum/index )
The search module is missing very obvious search strings such as: "Brugge" "Katwijk" or "Christmas". The misses seem to be related to the older posts.
Did anyone else encounter this issue?

The Kunena Search module is a primitive search tool; there is little filtering of the results. In effect, the module uses the "default" settings that you see on the Search menu tab. Basically, when people use the module, they get "the basics"; if they want to get something else, then they should use the Search menu item.

By default, the search only retrieves messages posted in the last 12 months. Obviously, using the more "advanced" search tool, you can filter the search using different options.

You can probably change this basic behaviour by hacking the source code.

I'm sorry, but I don't know too much about the Kunena Search plugin, which is one thing completely different.

The way you describe it, either of the search addons has little added value. Isn't there a way to make the Joomla menu item (the Joomla! module) fit into the Kunena forum menu?
Replacing the Kunena search plugin for the Joomla! search module in the Kunena menu tab is a piece of cake, making it look decent however is something else:

It's ripped from the Kunena context.
And if it would return the search results on the Forum page instead of the main webpage that would be even better!
