Tried a re-install over the top and no joy - strange as it all goes through ok just no admin menus created.

Have backups in case but the missing admin menus seem like something that should be easily fixable.

Cheers again,

Dave

After reinstalling kunena, I had to once again reselect the Menu Item Type for each menu item.

Sorry, I think I'm missing something, I did that to re-create the FRONT-END menu ok, I mean the ADMIN menu in the BACK-END, there is no menu manager for the back-end, I've looked in sql and there are no references to Kunena in the menu table for the admin menu?

Cheers,

Dave

Do you have a Kunena Menu in the Menu Manager? This should have been created when Kunena was installed.

see screenshot. I have changed the names of the menu items.

yes - those are the ones I've fixed, and they are fine.

It is the component menu items for the kunena admin panel in the back-end that are missing, the items that link you to the category management etc..

The front end menus are all fine now.

Take a look at the screenshot here:

www.kunena.org/docs/File:Kunena.joomla.backend.png

this kunena forum menu is missing in the back end.
