Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

I have been flooded with spammers even with captcha and stopforumspam enabled.
I have set the forum to moderated under 10 posts, registered users only, and even so, they come, register with a fake name, post advertising AFTER being banned.
Am I missing something in the configuration?

Banned accounts cannot be used after you have banned them. If you ban an account then that account will not be able to be used to post messages on your forum

Banning one account does not, however, prevent a person from creating a new account.

To ban an account, I recommend using the method shown in the following image: (follow steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown):

Stopping spam is a completely different question. You may find this topic useful: How to protect my forum from spam . There are a lot of good ideas in that topic.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Somehow my user management window is completely different than the one you posted. Should I be accessing it through the front end?
The backend brings up just a rank title as banned.
