Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi, this maybe not the right forum, so please tell me where to post if needed.
I've Kunena 1.7 (removed the 2.0.4 version in order to run the migration process) and the very first run of the kunena importer was partly successful. Partly only, so i need to check what went wrong and why, but this is not the problem so far... the real problem is that during the migration process, mails have been sent to the migrated users. so of them are now aware that we're working on a new website, with a new forum, and this was not expected... Where is the sendmail located ? is it on the kunena importer side ? the Kunena side ?

Before diving in the code, can somebody point me the right direction so i don't spend a week to discover where to modify ?...

Thanks in advance
regards

There's going to be a bit of a problem answering this.

K 1.7 is not supported and we do not respond to questions about unsupported versions of Kunena on this forum. Kunena Importer may or may not always work but, in any case and at this time, it only allows you to migrate data from a limited range of other forum products into a version on Kunena tht is not supported.

Because we're discussing (a) a version of Kunena that is known to contain a number of defects that were fixed a long time ago and, for that reason, K 1.7 is no longer supported and (b) Kunena Importer which has not been looked at by the team for over a year and this tool may or may not work successfully in all case, you can see why it may be difficult to obtain resolution on this matter from the Kunena team.

I do not know how Kunena Importer is involved with sending mail. Kunena Importer is a product that you run once. After you have migrated your forum , you should then uninstall Kunena Importer. I understand your problem but I do not know where you should begin to look for a solution. Unless someone else has some better suggestions, I am marking this topic as "unsolvable".
