Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Advanced option in Rank Manager was created by Tuszu
Hi everyone!

How can I define a specific option with specific rank?

For Example:
+ I want to create new special rank and define color of this rank (no rank image, but color rank)?
+ Create special category, where only one group (rank) can write a post.

Thanks in advance for help. :)

G'day, Tuszu, and welcome to the forum.

I do not understand what you mean by colouring a rank. Can you give us more information or, perhaps, show us a picture of what you want to do, please? I don't know if K 2.0.4 has the ability to do this.

Ranks don't work like that in K 2.0 (see Permissions by ranking ); however, you can define categories so that users in certain user groups (defined by you with Joomla ACL) can view and/or post in those categories using the Kunena Category Manager Permissions tab. Does this answer your question?

Ok.
For example:
Default color of Administrator rank is red.
Default color of Moderator rank is brown.

Then I create new rank: SuperWriter.
How can I define color of this group?
I mean the color of all the nicknames of people who have been assigned to this group.

You can change the colours associated by the "types" of users, as defined (and hard-coded) in Kunena, as seen in the following picture:

However, a user "type" (in this restricted meaning) is not the same as a user rank. There is no facility in K 2.0.4 to do what you have asked.
