Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi there,

i have a little Problem mit the Birthday-Setting in Kunena.
"Normal" Birthday in Profile works fine, everything ok.

So, i have a User for the "Club", the Birthday is in Year 1882.

If i set the Birthday 1882-06-04 in the Kunena Profile and dave it, the Birthday is shown as "unknown". I think that will be a defined birthday Range.. but where can i find it or how can i set up the birthday-date for this User?
The Date 1882 was the year of founding the club.

Unfortunately, due to the way dates are stored and retrieved, there's currently no way to set a date earlier than around 1902. This is a limitation of server libraries and the underlying mechanism by which dates are calculated and retrieved by Joomla.

Depending on your needs, there are a couple of options available to you. If you just want to get a reminder email on the club's birthday every year, then the year you enter doesn't matter. If you want to actually display the club's founding date, then one of the many other text-based fields available should work fine.
