Kunena 6.4.13 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.13 [6.4.13] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.0
Hint: This version is primarily intended to facilitate an upgrade if Joomla was first updated to version 6.1 before Kunena was up to dated.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

I don't know anything about this. Have you posted this question to the JomSocial forum and what is their response?

That does sound like an interesting option, but I agree with sozzled that jomsocial is the place to ask.

But please let us know here if you find out.

Hello,

That is custom built plugin developed "in the house" for our own needs.
You dont get this feature with default Kunena installation.
You might be interested in posting this suggestion to Kunena devs to implement it if possible, or simply, hire a freelancer developer to get the same customization for your site as well.

Cheers

The way it's done, when you click post it calls modal box with search of top5 similar threads, list is done the way when you click on topic it takes you to new window (simple target=_blank) and it shows the two buttons, one to cancel new topic (it returns the users to previous page) and the other one to publish the post (the normal post button). So it doesn't seems complicated, but i'm not sure the normal search option would do the trick, on my forum i have thousands of topics and search querry takes some time so it's not suitable to be used in modal box... anyone has better idea?

The search logic is clearly the important factor. It probably needs to be limited to topic titles only to be practical.

As I suspected, the facility at the JomSocial forum is accomplished with a custom Joomla plugin. This idea would be useful in any technical self-help forum. I will mention this to the development team.
