Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Question User Post Count transfer

Hiall,

here's a question, I've recently migrated from phpbb to kunena.

I'm trying to get the user post counts from phpbb across.

I insert the relevant values for the users into the database and all works fine.

After a while, i guess there's an auto system, the post count reverts to just the number of posts made on the kunena forum only.

Is there a way to get round this 'resetting' of the post count value?

many thanks

Dave

Hi again,

I've done a bit more fine research into what's happening.

I successfully imported the post counts using phpmyadmin.

All looks well on the forum too. If I then reply to an existing topic the count increases as expected.

If I create a new topic the count reverts to the number of posts made originally on kunena - not just mine but the entire userbase (10,000 users).

So there must be a routine that re-calculates everyone's post count every time a new topic is posted?

If so, how do I either stop it or rework it so it includes the imported counts as well?

Kind regards

Dave

The count varies according to the posts.

anne,

absolutely, but how do we convince Kunena that a user has more posts than he has actually made?

:D
