Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Question RSS Feeds - Main Topics get Fed, But nothing else (replies to topic for instance).

I have Joomla 2.5.8 and Kunena 2.0.3 and I am not sure that the RSS feeds are functioning as they should.

Basically, I get the main topic in my RSS application (using NewsBar on my MAC), but not any replies that people post in the forum. I did do a search and only came up with "resetting the forum to it's defaults" which I did, but nothing changed. I did see some notes about restrictions causing the feeds not functioning as the feed application comes in as a guest (so to speak), but I haven't set any such restrictions and guests can see all the posts and replies.

Can someone describe, or point me to, what the RSS feeds should be getting ? Or perhaps better describe how to set things up to get a desired RSS feed out of the forum ?

Is this normal or abnormal behaviour ?

Ideally, I'd like to have RSS feeds of the categories and topics I choose, and not get any emails. I do get the topic replies via email, btw, but I'd rather these show up in the RSS feed.

Here's a scenario as an example. We have a section called "Mountain Biking" and in it a category called "Group Rides". Ideally, when someone posts or replies to a post about a group ride, the user would get an RSS feed so they are aware of who is coming on the ride.

Yes or No ?

Should you see and RSS feed when someone replies to a topic on the forum ?

Can we start with that, this way I'll know if it's supposed to or not.

Thanks, Phil.
