Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi,

I have 4 assigned admins in Kunena. However, the user title for two of these shows as global moderators and the other two as admins. This is wrong and caused a bit of trouble.

Basically I have various user groups in Joomla:

public (viewing only)
- Normal Member (can view and post in certain areas)
-- Privileged member (as above but see and post in members only areas)
--- Normal Admin ( can edit everything on the front end only) - There are 2
---- Super admin ( full front and back end access) - There are 2

This works perfectly within our Joomla set-up.

However, as I mention both the admin and super admins are specified as admins within the forums(4). However, it's the two normal admins that show as - global moderators in the User type even though they are admin whereas the super admins show correctly as admins.

How is this so when all four are specified as admins with the forums?

And how does one determine the user type as it's clearly picking up a value within the Joomla user profile somewhere as if i change the user profile admin superadmin, it shows correctly in Kunena.
