Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi, i've spent about 2 hours searching topics here to find out how to show more usergroups in legend or assign these to users so when you go in a topic and see the user reply, you can see his name is colored depending on the group.

How can i add more of these groups to be displayed in forum leyend and on user posts (The group color assigned to user, just like administrators)

I know there's a way how these default groups in legend are linked and how they detect in what group user is. So there should also be a way to add more of these groups?

Thanks in advance.
Regards, Nik.
PD: I have checked most of forum post using keywords such as custum user groups, legen, color groups and only found off-topic things or unanswered topics.

G'day, nik93, and welcome to Kunena.

There is no provision in K 2.0.x (at this time) for utilising custom user groups (the usage of the term is no longer really relevant in J! 2.5 anyway), but these topics may help give you some background information concerning the kinds of questions we have been asked:

Already read that.
It is not relevant for creating new groups and assigning permissions, but what i asked was about adding more groups to forum legend.

If you have already read all the information that both you and I can find on this subject, you have your answer. The is no provision to (a) add other user "groups" to Kunena at this time and (b) colour these additional "groups" differently. Sorry.
