Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

I need to change 'The administrator has disabled public write access' to display different text. I have read several posts for how to fix this but I do not have the kunena.english.php file in my installation. I have the newest install download. Any help to what file this needs to be edited in would be great. Thanks.

en-GB.com_kunena.ini 958 B 10/2/2012 8:05:40 pm File

The string you are looking for is in ../components/com_kunena/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_kunena.views.ini

From K 1.6 onwards, language file names and format were changed to conform to the Joomla naming convention and format; the older-style .PHP form was dropped nearly 3 years ago. This was mentioned in Where is the language file? . If you were looking for a file named kunena.english.php, I'm sorry but you were wasting your time. That file ceased to exist after K 1.5.
