Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hi,

After installing Kunena 2 the guests cannot add new topics or reply to topics. I have set the permissions to "yes" for guests to read/write for the main forum and all categories and I have given public access to "create new post" from the kunena menu. Still, a guest cannot start a new topic or reply to existing one (message: You do not have permissions to start a new topic!). I am not sure what else I need to do to allow guests access?

Hi,
Go to backend- kunena -category manager - select a categorie- permissions- User Groups Allowed To Post to "Public", also look at User Groups Allowed To Reply "Public"

Hello
How can I have the buttons "Reply" and "insert new topic" for the guest and when they click they have the message "You must be registered to post in the forum"
