Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Question Why does "format=rss" work and not "type=rss"?

I just updated my Joomla 1.5.26 site to Kunena 2.02. Now the RSS feed does not work. When you click on the feed button it just brings up the same page but the url changes, but it does not display as a feed.

www.free-extensions.com/forum/topics/pos...el-720.feed?type=rss

If I change from 'type=rss' to 'format=rss' then it works.

Any help appreciated.

G'day, Bryan, and welcome to Kunena.

This topic may help: RSS Feed At Category Level?

The issue that I'm grappling with is to understand is how you obtained the URL in the first place. You are right: the form of that URL does not give anything useful until it's changed in the way that you described. But the essential question is how did you obtain this non-working URL to start with?

I went to your website. I clicked a few RSS feed icons on a few pages at your site and I had no problems with any of them; all of them worked! Perhaps, you now understand the difficulty that I am having with this issue. Can you tell us, please, how we can reproduce the issue? Thank you for your help to better understand the issue. :)
