Kunena 7.0.6 & Kunena 6.4.12 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.6 [K 7.0.6] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the twelfth version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Hello,

Is it possible to upload and insert picture directly into Kunena - messages, like in a Joomla article?

I don't want to make an attachment, where I don't see directly my uploaded picture between my text, nor do I want to make an "Image link", where the picture must be already online.

G'day, Dirkuno8, and welcome to Kunena.

  1. In the Attachments area below the message editing frame, click the Add File button
  2. Browse for the image file you want to upload from your PC and press Open to end the dialog and copy the filename to the web page
  3. Now click the Insert button that appears next to the attached file name in the Attachments area

Ok, many thanks.

I had also tried that, but after clicking "Insert", I clicked on "Preview", and no picture appeared..., so I thought that it didn't work.

Here is a bug with the Kunena - "Preview", or?

No, not a bug. It is not possible to preview an image until it has been uploaded. An image cannot be uploaded until you you click "Submit".
It would be nice to preview it before, but you can't.
