Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

You have two menu items in mainmenu.

One is named "Forum", the other is named "Thalassa Forum". Delete the second item. Use the first item and make it the default menu item for your site.

Thank you for your quick reaction!

I've done what you suggested - for as far as I understand, but with no effect.

We could be chasing the wrong problem in respect of the confused menu that you've created (and, if anything, the menu that you now have is worse than what you had before). The truth of the matter is that I don't know what causes "user 0 does not exist" because I cannot find any other topics in this forum that helps.

Unless someone else can give us assistance, the cause of your problem remains unexplained.

However, I can tell you is if your Joomla is not well-behaved, you will have problems elsewhere (e.g. in Kunena). The Joomla menu you've created for your site is not what we recommend. I suggest that you trash all menu items that relate to Kunena and rebuild them. The technique for doing this is described in Missing Kunena Menu . This may or may not fix the other problem but, at least, we've eliminated one possible cause.

You could also try resetting all Kunena configuration settings to their original default values.
