Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

Question Downgrade Kunena 2.0.x > 1.7.x

Hey guys,

I was wondering if there is any documentation or known method to downgrade from Kunena 2.0 to a prior release without completely wrecking a site or losing post data.

I've looked through the wiki and searched through the posts here, but unless I've missed something I can't find any info.

Thanks!

See Kunena 2.0.1 Read Me (same thing applies to K 2.0.0, too).

There is no "downgrade" option. The only reliable way that you can downgrade is to restore your site from the backup you made before you upgraded to K 2.0.x

Database has changed so much that it's very hard to restore it to what it was in Kunena 1.7. I would rather report the issues and help us to fix those as soon as possible.

Hope there is some improvement now...

I mean - Did anyone discovered any safe way to downgrade Kunena?

The problem I'm facing:
- I can't use backup, because there were so many new posts in my forum... I just can't allow to loose it.
- I have no idea how to fix a bug, that after upgrade happened

Authors can see all. Syperadministrator sees all... But operators lost all topics, and threas in the frontend.

Any chance to fix it?

What Matias stated here above has not changed, and it is not likely too.

Whenever upgrading or making a change to your website you should ALWAYS make a backup first. With Joomla there is the excellent Akeeba Backup which takes out all the complexity of doing this (and restoring it too).

Then, if something goes wrong, you can go back to the earlier version.

Maybe if you provide a URL and your Configuration Report for Kunena, someone might be able to assist with your problem.

Please read What information should I include when I ask for help (including how to post my configuration report)? .

Please read the FAQ.
