Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.
The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.
K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.
Question Mark as resolved/closed/etc.
Do you need a cool joomla calendar app, give the DPCalendar project a try.
We will be improving this feature soon: github.com/Kunena/Kunena-2.0/issues/938

this is not answering the question sozzled. The question is not about topic icons, but having another feature where you can 'tag' or label a post with defined terms.
Need to make it as flexible as possible, so in the backend the admin can define terms eg. Solved, Read, For Sale, Sold, Answered etc or any other term they come up with and also the admin can set which of these terms the frontend user can set their post to and which terms only admin can. So if in a classifieds category a frontend user could label their post For Sale and when their item is sold they could themselves change the label to Sold. However, in other circumstances users may label their posts Question, and only have admins change their labels to Answered or Resolved.
hope this helps clear up what the feature request is wishing for.
still wish that i can write my forum signature through a jomsocial plugin and do it from my jomsocial profile

I just don't get this, I didn't criticise I just explained further the issue. I did read your full response and still stand by my comments that what you are proposing is limited and not flexible. You really have a big chip on your shoulder sometimes sozzled

This is a community-driven project and all members of the community are welcome to feed their ideas, time, skill, "talent" or whatever they can. As you know, there is no company behind Kunena; everyone who contributes to Kunena is a hobbyist, enthusiast or professional web developer who gives their time freely to this project - volunteers every one of us. Our hope is to make Kunena the most reliable, scalable, durable and robust forum component for Joomla that we can make it and to give people the best solution to meeting their forum needs. The forum is a self-help resource for users to help one another. Our job, in moderating the forum, is not necessarily to answer every question but, rather, to point people in the right direction where they can find the answers.
There is no need to create separate topics if we are discussing the same thing. This issue has been discussed for a long time in [Merged topic] New button for author and mods to mark topic as solved and, while the advances that were made in K 2.0 were not perfect, some progress has been made.
The feature request remains current and, when time and money permit, we want to progress the idea. Perhaps this cannot be done now in K 2.0, nor in the next version, but it remains an objective that we would like to succeed.
This topic is closed and further comments should be made elsewhere where I have referred. earlier
