Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

K 2.0 support will cease on 31 August 2013 and this section of the forum will be closed and archived after that time and no further questions will be answered about this version.

I know I must be looking in the wrong place but I can't find how to configure the rules and help pages since upgrading to Kunena 2

Nice job with K2 by the way.

G'day, infield, and welcome to Kunena.

Thank you for a very good question. You are right, the method to create a rules, help or any other kind of custom content is different in K 2.0 than it was in earlier versions. One of my top tasks - and something I hope to achieve today - is to rewrite the Wiki article How to create a rules and a help page‎ .

Quite simply, big difference in K 2.0 from earlier versions of Kunena (or, even, Fireboard, before that) is that K 2.0 does not rely on you having to write a Joomla article any more. You can now write your custom content directly into a Joomla menu item.

Nailed it! I was sooo close too, but missed.
Many thanks.
That is a seriously useful way to use the menu tabs. Inspired if I may say so.
I am seriously impressed with this release.

I've checked the wiki section but still under construction.

How do I set the Joomla Rules article for Kunena 2.0?

Thanks

In K 2.0 you cant set article id as rules page like in K1.7 you have a small box were you can write it.
In menu go to Miscellaneous Pages and select Custom Content

Forum rules

I just noticed that my forum rules tab okay has disappeared from the forum menu. There doesn't seem to be the section within the configuration where you can put the ID number of the rules page in. Have you taken the rules out completely?

It's done differently in K 2.0. There are other topics in the forum that answer this question but the complete answer is in How to create a rules and a help page‎
