Hi,
I was part way through problem solving an issue regarding my Topic and Reply counter not working on a new forum. My man Sozzled identified I was using an outdated version Kunena(K 2.0.3.) and closed the thread before I had a chance to update and check that the problem was solved. Prior to upgrading my Kunena configuration was displaying that it was up to date so I hadn't checked the website for updates as well. Anyway I am still here as I am still experiencing the issue. New picture attached (3rd one down).

Now updated to K 2.0.4

I closed the earlier topic for a couple of reasons but mainly because you stated that you had just installed K 2.0.3 on a brand new forum.

Is this true? Is it true that you did not have a forum before (perhaps you were using an older version of Kunena)? I have not seen this case reported before when people have a brand new forum. I have, however, seen far too many cases where people had problems upgrading from K 1.x to K 2.0.3 and that's when this issue manifested itself almost identically to the way you have described it. Given the many problems that we had with K 2.0.3, I would not recommend K 2.0.3 to anyone; that's another reason why it's not supported.

To help with this case, I think we need to be clear that we really are discussing s situation where you started with nothing, installed K 2.0.3, and then you had this problem where topics seem to show that there are no replies when, in fact, there are replies.

Please repair in your main menu (Rib Forum) your wrong menu item.
www.kunena.org/docs/Kunena_menu_issues
Afterwards go in "Backend > Kunena > Forum Tools > Recount Statistics" and recount all statistics.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

Thank you Rich, the Statistics Recount option worked to update the counter. Is this something one should do from time to time? I wonder why it wasn't counting automatically?

I am unsure what you meant about repairing my menu? I looked at the link you sent and I don't have the problem that it is describing. How did you spot it on my site? Could be the picture I posted, it was cropped down, not showing all of the forum.

@Sozzled Thank you for clarifying. I installed my forum a week or so ago, so not "brand new" I guess. Anyway I am updated now. Any idea why my Kunena installation did not report that it was outdated in the configuration?

Thanks guys
Matt
