Is this only on the migrated topics, or even at new topics by this users? Likely the messages were allocated to incorrectly at the migration. Check in the table "_kunena_messages" and "_kunena_topics" whether the user ID are correct. I think that anywhere a null is registered.

Problem solved!

I first restored the original plugin settings, but that did not help. But I guess it is a good thing anyway to set it back to default values.

I had a look into the 2 tables that "rich" mentioned, and I saw that the userID's in these tables are not the same as the ID's in the Joomla/Kunena user tables. I manually edited the userID in the "_kunena_messages" and "_kunena_topics" for one topic, and after that in this topic the avatar and username became clickable.

So obviously, something went wrong with the import from PhPBB. The userID's in "_kunena_messages" and "_kunena_topics" all had a minus symbol (like -43 and -65)

I did an import from PhPBB 3.0.x using the Kunena importer. To do this I first downgraded Kunena to 1.7.2, installed the Kunena importer, did the import, and reinstalled 2.0.4.
