Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Guest posting only possible as "Anonymous" was created by Teach
As the topic states, we are having a problem on our site with guest posting. We enabled guest posting/writing, but when you post as a guest, you cannot give yourself a name and you will appear as "Anonymous", so I am wondering if this is intended or if there is a way to change this.

We are using Kunena 2.03

It is intended because only registered users are give the right to use their chosen names, otherwise we could get impersonations or name conflicts with those that are actual users of a website.

We might eventually make a distinction between display names and account names, but needs to be implemented.

Many sites that have guest posting always default to use "Anonymous"

For your information, K 2.0.3 is not supported by the team. We do not normally respond to topics that relate to unsupported versions of Kunena on the forum. For your benefit, and for the benefit of others reading this topic, people who have "issue" relating to unsupported versions of Kunena should first of all upgrade to K 2.0.4 and then we may be able to help each other better.
