This evening I upgraded from 1.7.2 to 2.03. No faullt messages and everything looked fine. But ....... when I opened the forum, no messages where displayed. The categories and subcategories are displayed correct.

There where some messages in the trashcan and when I put them back as active, they are displayed correctly.

All the messages are still in the database, only they are not displayed. Any suggestions??

Hello,

Look in database in table kunena_messages, what is the value of hold column for the messages which was displayed before ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

The hold value was 0, 2 or 3. Checked the possible differences between te visible and not-visible records, but I failed to figure it out.

My workaround to get the forum working again:
  • After installing the backup I moved al messages to the Kunena trashcan
  • install kunena upgrade 2.03 and language module
  • In the kunena control panel, choose trashcan
  • restore all deleted items
  • Forum is now ok  ;)

I think there should be a better way, but in my case it did the job quite fast. Took me about 2 hrs (and a good nightrest because its fixed ofcourse :P )

I have the same problem with empty forum. Tried the solution to restore items from trashcan but the restore feature does not appear to work. Does anyone have any other idease?

Just had the same problem. There's an easier way.

Restore your backup and first upgrade to 2.0.0 . After installation check the forum stats to make sure you have all your topics and answers save. Then update to 2.0.3.
