Merged How to change the date format

Probably simple fixes, but can't figure out the best way to tackle them.

On the category listings, on the rightmost table cell what I'd like to modify. Currently it's like:
Code:
Last Post: Whatever the last post was by Person who wrote it Full date string - 15 Aug 2012 00:52

What I'm looking to do is
1.) add the jomsocial avatar for the user next to their name
2.) change the date string to what I think JS uses, but the time from now. (Ex: 2 days ago, or 30 minutes ago, etc)

Thanks in advance for any advice

Is this a question about how to use something in Jomsocial? I'm sorry I do not understand the question or where this "problem" occurs.

Not JomSocial, Kunena. I probably worded it poorly. When viewing all sub-categories in a main category, the rightmost cell contains that
Code:
Last Post: Whatever the last post was by Person who wrote it Full date string - 15 Aug 2012 00:52
As seen here: www.opengloss.com/Index
Or even on Kunena: www.kunena.org/forum/index

How do I
1.) change the date string to what I think JS uses, but the time from now. (Ex: 2 days ago, or 30 minutes ago, etc)

*figured out the avatar deal*

Thanks, but how do I change the format to display how long ago? Example:

Any idea on that?

In K 2.0.2 there are four possible values of the setting I mentioned in my last reply. These are
  1. Hide time
  2. hh hours mm minutes ago
  3. Yesterday hh:mm
  4. dd-Mmm-yyyy hh:mm

The values of hh, mm, dd, Mmm, yyyy that you see above are unimportant. The important thing is that there are four options to choose from. In your case, use the second of the options I listed above, like this:

Forum Configuration » Frontend » Look and Feel » Message Time Format = hh hours mm minutes ago

Hello,

I was wondering how do I go about changing the date format in Kunena so that the forum shows the actual date of a posted message rather than the description of when a message was posted? For example, I would like the message dates to show as "October 31, 2012, rather than "4 days 4 hours ago".

I looked for the setting in the config but didn't find it easily.

Thanks, :)

Hello,

So, you mean that the setting in backend is missing some options ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hi, no I just couldn't find the option in the control panel settings. Can you direct me to change that feature? :)

Thanks,
