What happens when guests try to access categories? Do they get some kind of error or warning message? Have you searched the forum for this error/warning message?

Hi sozzled

No, guests simply read "there are no categories published".... in the forum ".
Even access to the module Gtraslate is public, but in reality, guests can not enter.
But more importantly, is that foreign users, they can not translate the page and are marked "invalid token".
If you want to pass a report of the configuration settings ...... with a private message or here?
I just upgraded Joomla 2.5.7.

This means that you have set the permissions on these categories so that guests cannot see them. If there are not categories accessible to the person who is viewing your forum then the person will see the the message "There are no categories published in the forum." If you want guests to see something else then you need to change the permission on the category and its "container" (section) to Public.

Please see how to setup your categories in Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 1) and Sections, Categories, sub-Categories (Part 2) - advanced setup for special groups

We do not use any private messaging system at this site. Please read What information should I include when I ask for help (including how to post my configuration report)?

Invalid token is a Joomla issue: you need to ask about that at forum.joomla.org
